Hard Drive and Disk Degausser

The Proton T-1.5 Hard Drive Degausser is a drawer style degausser that permanently erases data from hard drives and various tape media. It has an effective magnetic field of 1.5 Tesla, making it capable of sanitizing the highest coercivity media available today and it will continue to keep pace as hard drive technology advances.

Operation

The T-1.5 is fully automatic and has a cycle time of less than 5 seconds, making it the fastest electromagnetic pulse degausser available. Operation is simple, just insert media into the drawer and push the start button. Internal software acts as a built in safeguard and assures the unit is operating at peak performance for each cycle. The T-1.5 is extremely compact and portable which allows it to fit easily into existing operations and be transported when necessary.

The Proton T-4 produces a bi-directional field which provides a 20,000 Gauss positive field and a 20,000 Gauss Negative field. The T-4 achieves this by using a unique, patented “Reverse Polarity”. Other degaussers may have either a positive or negative pulse, but only one. The T-4 has both and it is fully automatic. This ensures complete and permanent erasure of your data and will protect your sensitive information for years to come. The T-4 now has a LCD screen and internal Gaussmeter for performance verification.

Proton 1100 Degaussing Wand

The Proton 1100 Degausser Wand is designed to provide maximum security level degaussing. A multi-polar design insures permanent data erasure for a wide range of magnetic media. It has been tested and approved for erasure of both Longitudinal (LMR) and Perpendicular (PMR) magnetic storage devices up to and including 5000 Oersteds.

The Proton 1100 Degausser Wand is designed to provide maximum security level media degaussing for a wide range of magnetic media.

Conventional magnetic recording devices (recording heads) cannot provide the flux density required to totally erase magnetic signatures. The magnetic information remains in the media after conventional erasing techniques and reformatting procedures. Only a high-energy magnetic circuit that provides a full-cycle (+ – + -) field can reliably erase this remnant magnetic information to a full security level.

A magnetic shield is provided for safe storage of the degaussing wand.

Proton 1100 effectively degausses disk drives, diskpacks, drum type memories, floppies and any flat-surface magnetic memory.
